Seeking therapy can be a difficult task to take on, and you may be feeling like you are at your most vulnerable. I am here to help you navigate this journey. My name is Tamisha Thomas, a passionate and professional therapist.
I began my journey in the mental health field as a Psychiatric Technician in a residential crisis facility while I was pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Western Michigan University. This is also where I experienced the power of therapy for myself. I wholeheartedly believe in the therapeutic process, and I am grateful to accompany you on your journey.
I have had the pleasure of working with diverse populations in community mental health as a mental health case coordinator and coping skills trainer. I have a plethora of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, crisis intervention, group counseling, and trauma. Additionally, I have experience working with college students.
I have a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University.
